Jump Shots
Jump shots are where a cue ball or an object ball leaves the table surface. For straight jump shots, it is usually done with a jump cue. It is shorter and lighter than a normal playing cue, and it requires a very hard special tip. Although jump shots are generally utilized to jump the cue ball over obstructing balls, including a stroke directly into an object ball, or into a cushion with jump action, they are usually sometimes executed with a normal playing cue.
Behind the Back - Quad Jump
This is a shot I recently learned over a while ago, and I'm still trying to nail it almost everytime. I didn't created this shot, it was created by Florian Kohler who put this same shot in his 60th Venom Trickshot video! The trick here is you have to position your cues together like you are ready to do the quad jump, but behind your back. I can give you techniques on how to do this shot, but only if you can figure out first how to hold four jump cues at once. Whenever you got it down, let me know and I can teach you.

Reposition Jump
One of my Ppooler's old creation from Czech Republic. Pavel jumps the cue ball over the barrier (the bridge) and while it banks back to the corner, the object ball rolls and pockets the two hanger balls. It then sits there until the cue ball comes back to pocket it in. It can be practicable, but it really depends on if you are comfortable with this trick shot. All trick shooters have a selection of shots they choose for shows, but they stick to those same shots for years until most of them get too easy for them or for other players. That's why if the shots are too hard or too easy for you, skip this shot and use a different shot that might impress your audience even more. So choose wisely.

Double Wing Jump
Andy Segal did a demonstration video of the wing jump shot he did at Trick Shot Magic 2014, but with two cue balls and object balls. The results are spectacular. After you switch from jumping the object balls left and right, you have just little time to pocket them one at a time. So have your mind be really focused because this is one that requires quick focus. Andy Segal, of course, is the creator of this shot, so keep at it, Andy!

Brian's Side Stack Jump
Brian Pauley who recently became another McDermott Ambassador for trick shots made this new variation of the classic side stack cue shot but with a jump shot involved. You do the shot like the regular way, but then you have to come over to the other side and jump the cue ball over to pocket the five. Great shot, Brian. It was hard filming it because I felt exhausted after a busy long day at work before I came home and filmed this shot. If I had bloopers, you would've seen how I've reacted to this.

Giumelli's Cup Shot
Giumelli was the original creator on this hard jump shot. It's not new, it's actually an old shot from the early Artistic Pool days and one I saw my pen pal, Pavel, perform back in 2007. The cue ball just hops into the cup while the 8-ball goes into the corner pocket. It's one of Giumelli's best creations, but I'm not quite sure if he's still using it for his shows today. I'll ask him.

Duck & Cover
Florian was probably the original creator of this trick shot, but I could be wrong because this is has Venom written all over it! You shoot the cue ball into the short rail, and have it fly over your back and make the hanger ball. One of the best trick shots I've ever seen before my eyes, and I should probably use this for my future shows. On the other hand, I've seen one where Steve did this same shot, but swished it as the cue ball flew into the pocket. Check this shot out here! Steve Markle: Dangerous Trick Shot In this case, DO NOT TRY TO ATTEMPT!

The Moon Jump
Florian may have made the shot popular again, but he didn't created this one. It was by a retire pool player named "Fast Larry" Guninger who has been on Ripley's Believe it or Not! show. He has quite impressive skills on trick shots that are deemed impossible for most pool players today. For this shot, he shoots the cue ball hard into the short rail, flys over backwards and swishes into the corner, Then he says, "Who da man, who da man?" Check out the video to see him perform it. "Fast Larry" Guninger Trick Shot Only Fast Larry can do this shot nobody else can, but he better think fast because a lot of us can do this shot now.

Over & Around
This is an updated version of the classic "Over & Around" used in past trick shot tournaments and are still using it as of today. What I've added is having the object ball go into the corner pocket instead of rolling about on the table while the cue ball is trying to reach the hanger ball. It's a nice shot, but one of these days, it should be added to next years artistic pool tournament maybe in a couple of years. We will see what Tom Rossman thinks about this shot.

Florian's Jump & Catch
For this last trick shot on my web page. This is a special Florian trick shot that was created last year by him. You jump both cue balls and they fly into the air one at a time, and you have to catch them both! You can either catch them with one hand, or catch them with both hands which requires dropping the cue stick before you catch the second ball. It's a very impressive trick shot, so thank Florian for changing the way how we see Artistic Pool and made it more like an extreme sport like skateboarding but for pool.
